Just a Little Something I Made

Do you see what Abram is doing with his mouth? How can a little one refuse to put his mouth on the arm of the ERGO? It is nearly impossible, which is why they sell these things called "sucking pads" for around $20. I felt that was too much to pay, so I got online and found a trusty tutorial and made my own. You can find the tutorial here.

I was so pleased with the way they turned out, I made a pair for my Texas friend Kate. She had a little girl (number 6!) about two months before Silas was born.

The ribbon is to attach link-a-doos, a pacifier, toy, etc.

Cute, don't you think?

Tracy! I've been meaning make these since Eowyn was a wee one, and now Jem is drooling all over the straps! Even bought the terrycloth. What tutorial did you use? Thanks for sharing (cute fabric!!)--way to save money, too :)

Lindsey...I attached the tutorial to the blog post. You should be able to click on the word "here" and find it. Let me know if it doesn't work. You'll enjoy this project...it takes about 30 minutes. And that includes cutting time AND (if you're like me) the occasional "oops!"

I second Lindsey's comments! I just washed my Ergo due to Finnian's drooling on those straps. I was thinking I would just wing a pattern for strap covers, but yours look GREAT. I'm excited to try out the pattern. Thanks for sharing loverly!
