On December 21st, we packed up and headed north to Colorado to spend the holidays with my mom.
As we were finishing the last of our packing, I found Abram in the front seat, ready to go! He even attached that seatbelt himself =)
After two long days of driving, we arrived in beautiful Larkspur, CO. Mom bought baby Silas a snow suit and we tried it on him for size.
It was a little too big. BUT, he sure was snuggly in that blue beauty.
One of our favorite things to do at Christmastime is bake cookies...lots of them. We chose six of our favorite recipes and stayed up late into the night baking and tasting.
Mom gave Riley some of Grandpa Gene's old hats...a chefs hat with "To Die For" embroidered on the front (which was a gift from all of us when I was a kid to Gene; who always would say in the kitchen "It's to die for..." when something tasted really yummy), a hat from Greece that Gene's sister bought for him, and a holiday reindeer head band.
